About Us

The Memories of Mariam Project started about a month after Mariam’s death, in October 2003. We started delivering gift bags to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for bereaved families. By our second year, we were sending out birth certificates and recognition of life certificates worldwide. By our third year, we started offering Mother’s Bracelets free of charge.

We continue in our third year by sending support and memorial items to bereaved families worldwide. We have been fortunate to acquire some talented and compassionate volunteers.

The MOM Project has been honored to affiliate with other organizations such as ILAC (I Lost A Child) of Southern Illinois, The Angel Teddy Bear Foundation, Elena’s Inspiration – The Shining Light Fund, Soul Support, A Mother’s Grief, and others.
